Week 8 Team Final Video Project Review and Final Week.
Part 1: Review Other Teams' final video projects
Team CIGN Consulting
This video was very well informed by providing significant and relevant information about the topic of reusable rockets and satellite connectivity. The team's presentation went in depth on the history of internet connectivity from the past and present and employed a problematic question about its development. In addition there are also information about the challenges that are being faced and research on solutions to solve the problem. Overall the topic was well covered and allowed the viewer/audience to absorb the information easily. The presentation was very clear as each member had audible microphones and their tone of voice were very professional. The video demonstrated thorough research on the subject and production was quite simple providing relevant slides and imagery. A suggestion I would make to this video would be to present more engaging clips and audio/music. The video was quite compelling and displayed great effort in remote collaboration. Overall it has shown to be appropriate to technology professionals and could even be presented within a TedTalk. As for the general audience video, there was a great flow of information and similar to their professional style presentation had a clear demonstration of proper research. A suggestion for this video would be to tone it down on the details and provide fun visual clips to engage the younger and general audience. It presents the information and exemplifies great collaboration. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Team: Prime Solutions

Prime Solutions video on AI companionship was quite interesting and covered the topic well. Information that was provided included the technology behind AI companions, different perspectives of how these companions are applied to numerous facets of human life, the technical implementations, and additionally they covered the ethical implications which I personally thought was very important on this subject as AI companionship may have some underlying issues in society. The presentation was clear as each member provided their own voice and clearly showed they have collaborated well together despite the clear geological hindrances. The quality of the video production was good as they have exhibited use of animated visuals and relevant imagery. It kept me watching since the start and a lot of the material discussed exemplified crucial research on the subject. A suggestion I would make would be to provide maybe stock videos to make it more engaging and to grab the attention of the viewer even more as much of the presentation was information overload. Overall the video showed that the team worked well together, it was great and had thorough research, and was well edited. The general audience video was creative as the team employed an AI generated voice together and presented the information in a fun and engaging way.

Team: Silicon Surfers

The video from Silicon Surfers about the race for Artificial Intelligence was captivating, it was as though I was watching a professional documentary. I really enjoyed the clear use of news segments and stock videos. The quality of the video production was great and clearly thought out ahead of time. The topic was well covered as I was engaged with it the whole time watching. Clearly to argue and build upon the news segment's questions there must have been effort in research. The only qualm I have with this video was the lack of bullet points to keep track of the information in order to get a general idea of what is being discussed. You have to actively listen to the video to understand the topic; Its not an important situation but if there were some more information on the screen I would feel a great deal of engagement with the video. Other than that small issue everything else was phenomenal and the team demonstrated that they can work together remotely to produce a high quality presentation for technological professionals. This one was definitely my favorite video out of all of the presentations. The general audience video was straightforward and provided enough information to not overload the audience but also keep them attached. I really enjoyed the incorporation of stock videos and simplicity of the texts. Overall a great general audience video.

Part 2: Keeping Up
Its hard to believe that this class is already over, this has been the quickest 8 weeks. I guess this is going to be the normal timeline for the next 11 courses. This class has provided plenty of resources to enhance my academic and professional life such as building upon a resume/cover letter, exploring an industry through the industry analysis paper and professional interview, applying artificial intelligence and prompt engineering to craft portions of an argument paper, and collaborating among a team to complete research presentation projects. In addition, the OLI assignments gave me some insights on how to improve my collaboration and social skills.
As for the final team presentation, Replicant Collective decided to do a video on bio-mimicry. It was an interesting topic as I have discovered that nature is a never-ending supply of ideas and humans can dig into these to create their own innovative solutions whether it be in architecture or even computing. The team worked well together to craft the video. We've been meeting every week on a Sunday to discuss many of our group assignments and recently had worked overtime on the presentation project. We sat in a discord call discussing the different research each one of us had done and crafted them together into a google document. We also gave each other feedback on what to discuss and assigned roles to provide visuals, editing, and audio. We were a well oiled machine. In order to improve on the next collaborative assignment and make it more effective, I believe that we should definitely keep tabs on what each member's workload is so that there would be an even distribution.
Below is our team's video projects:
